I finished book number 2, and am halfway through number 3, but the one I just finished was kind of a teen romance type book. I know, I know I'm 22 I'm supposed to an adult, but sometimes I still like the high school book :) I read "If I Have a Wicked Stepmother, Where's my Prince?" by Melissa Kantor and it was actually really cute. I read it in two days...it was only 283 pages, so it was a quick read, but I enjoyed it and the one I'm working on now it a teen read too :)
Also I did the 20 questions you should ask yourself every Sunday...I'm supposed to do it for 3 months...so here is week number 1.
1. What did I learn last week? – I learned no matter what, I always have people here who love me. Oh I also learned tons of random facts from a 6 year old...they learn good stuff in school these days!
2. What was my greatest accomplishment over the past week? – I think my biggest accomplishment this week was just being independent. I have always been dependent on my parents or husband, and now finally at 22 I'm being independent!
3. Which moment from last week was the most memorable and why? – Going to dinner last night for Valentine's Day with my Grandma. It was really nice to spend the time together, my grandpa passed away 2 months ago, and my husband is deployed...so we had a nice night together. She loved it, and I always love hearing new stories from her past. I know I'll always have those memories of us :)
4. What’s the #1 thing I need to accomplish this week? – Exercising everyday and getting my homework done early in the week.
5. What can I do right now to make the week less stressful? – Get my room organized and get my notes and homework more organized.
6. What have I struggled with in the past that might also affect the upcoming week? – Eating out of boredom, I need to learn to get away from that to meet my calorie goals!
7. What was last week’s biggest time sink? – The internet...I spend way to much time on facebook, when I could be reading, exercising, doing homework...anything else really.
8. Am I carrying any excess baggage into the week that can be dropped? – Not that I can think of at the moment.
9. What have I been avoiding that needs to get done? – I need to finish painting the bathroom and get my things organized. I also need to finish the bible study homework.
10. What opportunities are still on the table? – I'm still debating if I want to get a job as a waitress at a restaurant that my old friend is opening while I am home. It would be good for money, but I like being able to spend time with family and be home when my husband can talk.
11. Is there anyone I’ve been meaning to talk to? I need to get in touch with some friends that I haven't talked to yet while I have been home.
12. Is there anyone that deserves a big ‘Thank You’? – My husband for putting up with my first deployment "breakdown" last night. And my mom for always helping me out.
13. How can I help someone else this coming week? – I can sit with my Grama some day this week and I can also help my mom clean the house and cook dinner.
14. What are my top 3 goals for the next 3 years? – Save a good amount of money, get a good job, and buy a house if Ray gets out of the Air Force.
15. Have any of my recent actions moved me closer to my goals? – We have been putting big chunks of money in the bank while Ray is deployed and I am going to school to work on my degree so that I can get a good job.
16. What’s the next step for each goal? – Keep saving money and keeping doing well in school to obtain my degree.
17. What am I looking forward to during the upcoming week? – Getting together with my best friend and another friend from high school.
18. What are my fears? – Losing people that I love, not having a good career, being unhappy.
19. What am I most grateful for? – I am most grateful for my husband and family. He is awesome, and my family is the best anyone could ask for, parents, brother, aunts, uncles and cousins, they are all amazing! I'm also grateful for my grandma taking me to church with her every week and how much deeper my relationship with God has gotten.
20. If I knew I only had one week to live, who would I spend my time with? – Again my husband and family. I love them more than anything and would want to spend all of my time with them!
